Sparky's Place - Conneaut

Stopped in while out viewing covered bridges in the county. We were hungry so didn’t take pics of the food but it was all delicious. They have a HUGE beer selection of which hubs tried 2. I had a frozen lemon cream pie cocktail which was really good. Talked to the owner Sparky and he was very knowledgeable and helpful about the area. A really fun quirky place with Christmas Story memorabilia that I enjoyed

Worst experience i have had in a while. Waited 10 minutes to get seated. Lots of tables, just no one able to seat us.(3 groups of people) Got seated ordered our food. Appetizer came out very quickly...then the waiting started. Waited over 45 minutes for 2 burgers. A woman came out and said they were plating our food, waited 5 more minutes then I had had enough and walked out.(left to cover app. And drinks) Never again, used to be one of my favorite places. Had a super long wait once before for food. Not again, sorry. Had an appitizer for dinner I guess.

Classic bar burger, great fries. Beer selection is Awesome, around 170 to choose from. Unatentive service spoiled the experience. A single beer list was provided to our table of 4. My turn to read the list coincided with the others placing their order. I placed my order when 1st round was delivered, and received my can of beer towards the end of 1st round for the table... not fun. Order arrived missing fries. No napkins around for wings and other hand foods. Sparky's has a lot of potential. If you enjoy beer ask for your own list so you can enjoy selecting one and be ready to place your order with the group you are with.

Worst service and even worse atmosphere. couldn’t even wait long enough for the food to come.

We visited Ashtabula County last week due to not having power in Lake County. We used to live in Conneaut and Sparky 's is right across from where our house used to be in the 80 's. So we had to check it out. The food was excellent. We had burgers. Cooked the way we liked them Onion rings were crispy. The curly fries were almost as good as , fair fries . Even the side salad, which was huge by the way, was yummy.. We 'll be back even though it 's an hour away from home. Oh, forgot to say the prices were very reasonable.
