Club Nautico - Conil de la Frontera

Fuimos en familia. La ubicación inmejorable, metido entre los barcos, con unas vistas a conil preciosas. La comida muy correcta, muy bien de precio, sencilla, pero muy acorde a lo que se come por la zona, con su fritura bien hecha. Los postre muy ricos y ellos súper amables.

We were worried when we saw that the Club had extended and upgraded. But when we went in, we were thrilled with the transformation. Sophie could still feed the fishes in the sea under the terrace, but the whole place has been smartened up and has a very vibrant, welcoming feel. The seven of us went for lunch without a booking and we had to wait a while for a table. The staff were as usual very attentive and welcoming. We booked a table the next time, especially as it was lunch after the Queen of the Sea flotilla had returned to port on July 16. The post prandial noise of all the Spanish families talking at once was deafening, but such fun. We enjoy the seafood and they make a lovely paella on Sundays and holidays. Our favourite harbourside haunt!

The Náutico has been closed for a few weeks while work was being done to amplify it. I went back today for lunch to see how much it has changed. There are a lot more tables, probably twice as many as before, it seems much more comfortable it was a bit cramped before and generally much improved. There is a new, bigger kitchen and there are more waiters and waitresses. Those of you who have been there in the past will have known Miguel, a cheerful and efficient waiter. Sadly, he is no longer there. The best waitress, Cati, is still there. The food was just as good as always. I had some salmorejo and fried Dover sole. Do go there! I recommend it highly. It was always good but now has the potential to be even better.

Restaurante apropiado para comidas familiares con una buena ubicación en el puerto de Conil. El servicio es excelente y también la comida basada en platos locales. En esta ocasión nos gustaron especialmente la carne al toro, la ensaladilla, las gambas de cristal y el cazón. Son recomendables los postres caseros.
