99 Restaurants - Concord

Kalina was a fabulous bartender and server for us today. We hit the Happy Hour on Monday @2 pm. Kalina made my margarita special with her lime slices, as well as our Shipyard Pumpkin Ale, with cinnamon and sugar on the rim. The cooks made our food specially flavorful too. I had the Happy Hour Appetizer Seafood Squishies and Hubby had the Chicken Fajita Flatbread. A great visit. Thank you to all!

So this place is in desperate need of a good cleaning along with proper staff training. If you zoom in on the pictures you will see massive amounts of dust which grossed me out. There was nasty greasy hand prints on one of the pics as well. The waitress we had was great but we did get the wrong drinks, but not upset about this as she was new. We nearly froze to death as they had the A.C blasting on us and we were not the only ones to complain of this. I asked for cheese and crackers but the filled the bottom of the bowl with cracker crumbs and put normal crackers on top to make it look like the bowl was full. In total there were 7 whole crackers. I notice a lot of staff standing around while the few waitresses they had were running around trying to fulfill their duties. 99 has gone downhill massively and it was an utter disappointment. They are lacking proper management it seems as the place was dead and they still couldn't expedite our order in timely fashion. In totally it took 27 minutes just to get drinks and the appetizers came out 2 minutes before the meal.

I usually don?t comment on these things but i went there the other day with someone and this used to be my favorite restaurant so i?m just gonna share my experience. we sat down the waitress asked what we?d like to drink and so far it was going great. we got our drinks and we had ordered our appetizer, the loaded tots. after that she barely checked in on us and when she did she never asked to take our food order. it took her about 20 minutes to even take our order and then a half hour to receive our food and she wasn?t even the one who delivered it to us. it was just very disappointing to see that place like this. the chicken was great and so were the mashed potatoes so that was a plus. but the asparagus was dressed in a certain dressing that tasted like mustard and it was gross and all over the asparagus so i couldn?t eat much of it. we didn?t take any of it home and we were just extremely disappointed.

I have loved every 99 I've ever been to personally, but the one in concord does a fantastic job! They have very busy trivia nights, great food, and speedy service. The food is delicious and consistent, plus the popcorn is a great addition while you wait. We've noticed takeout can be a bit skimpy on portions from time to time but definitely won't fault the whole restaurant for what could be just one individual. 99 is and always will be one of our favorite restaurants! Definitely give an adult-sized chocolate milk in a chilled mug a try, you won't regret it!

We arrived late. they have closed in 15 minutes. but they allowed us to come and eat. was very grateful that it was a long day. eating was great and our waiter was extraordinary. in any case a place to go back.
