Taste of Istanbul Grill - Concord

My last time I entered taste of Istanbul was back in Jan 2015. The use to deliver nice mix grill, the price was great specially with there groupon discount.The Turkish kunaffa was great.It was good, but unfortunately when I visited recently they had a full staff change.The food was terrible, the soup, the grill, the kunaffa.Still I have to say the waiter was polite the place was clean.

I love this restaurant, the food is delicious and they provide insanely large portions.I especially love the in-house made baklava. You will not be disappointed. This restaurant is so popular at lunch dining in and take out that somethimes they run out of food - this is upsetting if you arrive and you are really in the mood for turkish food.

We went last Saturday for dinner .The restaurant looks very different from other in the area- a real Middle Eastern placeWe had very good food -Sultan Izgara was delicious , and so was the in-house baked Baklava with Turkish Tea for the conclusion of the meal.The wait staff was very good- thank you, AnnaIt was no noise-just pleasant music very low sounding .Thank you for the good dinner.

Will DEFINITELY eat here again. Here's what we ordered:HummusSu Boregi (Deep fried filo pastry filled with feta cheese and dill)Complimentary: Plate of pickled hot peppers and olivesALL YUMM!!Tavuk Kofte (Chicken Kefta)Peynirli Cevirli Eristesi (Pasta with cheese and walnuts)ALL YUMM AGAIN!!Complimentary: Dessert baklava, and Turkish TeaTry as we might, we couldn't finish ANY of the dishes, and happily took our leftovers home and enjoyed them for dinner Sunday evening. And now today I'm STILL having leftovers for lunch. If this isn't a great deal, then I don't know what is.Many thanks again to our server who was so attentive and super-fast! We loved watching the "little window" at the rear of the restaurant to see what foods would magically come out of it next! I am officially addicted to the sour cherry drink/juice we had ... It was the perfect drink for a sweltering summer day! Added 2 additional cans of it to our order as we checked out so we could enjoy it the next day.Looking forward to trying the lamb next visit!

Visited Turkey and really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately the food here was a disappointment. Dry, uninspired and nothing special. Skip this place.
