Wenjie - Comox

The food at this restaurant was okay, and I liked that they don't use MSG in their cooking. However, I was disappointed with the small amount of beef in the beef chop suey - there were only 3-4 pieces. The website advertised delivery, but when we called, they said they weren't doing it that day (not sure if this was a temporary issue).

Classic Chinese takeout. Call in, place the order, 15 minutes and it’s ready. Always super fresh crisp big cuts of veggies and always really fresh and hot. I’ve attached photos of the menu because they are so hard to find otherwise.

We were on a tour bus and more than 40 of us decided to dine at this restaurant. The staff were very helpful and promptly prepared dishes like BBQ fried rice, chow mein, and assorted vegetables for us. The prices were reasonable and the service was fast. I am rating them 4 stars because there was no air conditioning, a bit too much MSG in the food, and only one bathroom available. Overall, it is a simple Chinese restaurant serving Westernized dishes in Comox.

Wenji is our only choice when we are craving Chinese food. Excellent food, decent prices and the staff/family are wonderful people!

We ordered the dinner for 6, and it was definitely enough food. Some of the deep fried items (spring rolls, almond chicken, and prawns were a little heavy (in terms of batter and oil compared to other Chinese restaurants, but overall, the food was great! The flavors (the ginger beef! were delicious. Note: they would only accept cash/debit.
