Baita Monte Goj - COMO

This restaurant is run by a dynamic, extremely pleasant group of young people. The atmosphere was one of fiesta. Food was great considering the numbers catered for. Excellent shade from the sunshine. Pace of serving the various courses was just right. Steep climb to the Baita (well, it is the mountains) but a complimentary taxi serivce available just flag the RAnge Rover down it's the only car allowed. Great viewing platform for Lake Como surrounded by lush natural vegetation.

We found this place by accident looking for a good start to our day exploring Lake Como. The adventure started by following GPS to a road that looked impassable. A friendly town resident told us to park in the square and make the journey up the path on foot. Thankfully, we were picked up by a jeep driven by what turned out to be one of the owners and chef. The hospitality was surpassed only by the gorgeous views of Lake Como and the town of Como. It is a rustic lodge and many hikers were passing through. We had the chef's choice menu and it was one of the best meals ever. All around a very friendly and relaxed environment with excellent cuisine.

This is a great place for an informal family lunch in the woods with good value traditional italian food and wine in a rustic environment both inside and out. Service is friendly and efficient. Advise you take the free jeep up but walking back down is very enjoyable through the woods and there are some great views to be seen. Toilet facilities could be perhaps be a little more modern!

Christmas lunch...all the perfect atmospheres from fabulous impeccable food and service always up to the height! I keep coming back and we're always like home!
