The Barrel And Bottle - Columbus

This is the only bar currently in the North Market. It has 2 3 small tables and 5 6 seats at the bar. It is nice that they have a place for those who want to sip and browse. My husband and I found room in the bar on Saturday afternoon. When we sat a bartender, the ladies (3 of them) came back when they went out to smoke. Why didn't anyone stay back and rescue seats? Why did the bartender leave 1/2 of his seats empty for 15 20 minutes? We sat down anyway and when people came back, they asked my husband to move. He was a gentleman. I then realized that these ladies must be friends with the bartender, as I heard he gave them special prices while also saving their seats. Three of the articles we ordered were not in stock. We also heard other males order from stock items. I look forward to the expansion of the North Market including another bar with more space and better choice and service for all ..not only bartender friend service.

I'm a big fan of barrel and bottle. They always have fun wine and beer, and they often have free wine tasting. This last weekend, Chris von Wine Trends presented PNW labels and of course I had to take a bottle of Pinot Noir substance from Charles Smith. They have a ton of funny labels and good variety in varietal and in pricing. There is an orange wine I pick up every time I go to the North Market (Bonny Doon), as this is the only wine my mother will drink in the law haha. I enjoy her hairco dry rose through the glass. Vibes are near Barrel and Bottle, so I like to bring my food here to eat!

Unbelievable selection for a place of this size. Designs and bartenders always make me smile.

This North Market bar is the perfect hidden gem located across from the convention center. Super lovely storefront with knowledgeable staff on hand each day I visited. Mario was the bartender and the drinks were superb. If you are a **** Mary person I highly suggest their house made mix. It's super delicious and will leave you wanting another. Can't wait for my next Columbus trip to stop in again.

This was a nice little spot! We stopped by to see the selection. Mario was our bartender and he was very helpful with his recommendations! They serve some good stuff from coffee liqueurs from Ethiopia to bitters and bourbon from beyond I'll definitely be back. This North Market bar is a nice little spot! Don't forget to ask for Mario!
