Bidra med feedbackWe walked in around 4:30pm on Friday and was seated right away! Their happy hour is great with $6 wine (huge pours), $8 cocktails and half off draft beers. We got Hellboy and their caesar salad to share and they were both amazing!!
Updating because I have tried a couple more pizzas now the cherry and prosciutto is so good!!! You would never think of cherries going on a pizza, but they did it right. When my friend ordered the pizza for some reason I was thinking it would be cherry tomatoes, but was totally not disappointed when I realized they were actually dried cherries instead. I also tried their caesar salad, which is served with whole romaine leaves and actually has some sort of pepper on it so it's a little spicy, which is awesome. It was probably one of my favorite caesar salads that I've ever had. And I love their martini and pickle cocktails. YUM. For a pizza spot, they actually have a great take on mixology, too. I definitely want to try the pickle pizza soon too because I am a pickle fanatic. On Tuesday nights they have happy hour all night which includes $8 cocktails. Dinner at Paulie Gees can get a little expensive so it's absolutely worth going on days when they have specials/hitting up happy hour between 4 6. I'll definitely be going to Paulie Gee's more often now that I've explored a little more of the menu. They've totally ruined me on all other pizzas.
More Columbus reviews on Instagram: @bets_eat Let's Talk: probably my favorite pizza in cbus and the 3 for 39 on Wednesday deal can't be beat. recommend looking at their other daily specials and taking advantage of their happy hour that ends at 7 so easily attainable too !! The service is super friendly and they don't take reservations. I did find that the service was not rushed per se but the waitress did check up on us to order as well as get the check boxes when we were done to make sure that others could be seated. I wish we had more time to visit and chat but understandable with the deal and limited seating. Let's Eat: hellboy but add sausage : my all time fave the Donna soup baby: new on the menu and this gave me vodka sauce vibes ... SO good Let's Booze: spicy lil pickle: this was SOO good like a pickle margarita, a hint of pickle juice but sweet and salty. It was 10 10 Chili Smash: super smoky from the mezcal but the ginger beer was a nice acidic sweet add matcha-tini: not too sweet refreshing
This pizza joint will transform you to Brooklyn- from the tablecloths to the vibey bar area. And the pizza is absolutely delicious. We wanted to try one of their classic pizzas as well as the squares and both were made to perfection. From tasting high quality ingredients to the pizza being the perfect consistency this was a solid option any day of the week for a little fancier pizza night.
Paulie Gee's is officially my favorite pizza in Columbus. Both the wood fired round and deep dish are phenomenal crust is flavorful, perfect texture with some nice chew, and all the pizzas seem to be topped with hot honey and/or a pile of arugula (best case scenario). This place can get busy, and almost every time I go there's a short wait, which is the perfect opportunity to have a beer and get pumped for the pizza experience about to go down. Also important to note: they have killer weekday happy hours!
