Basil Thai Restaurant - Short North

That was our first visit, but it won't be our last. We used happy hour, $4 small plates to taste a few different dishes. What a great experience and great food. The only Hiccup was, the restaurant didn't have our reservation.... they said they never had an update from open table. Luckily it wasn't busy and wasn't a problem.

It was just okay. We have everything we ordered at once... even the appetizers. I am not sure if the menu made it clear, I did not see the charge for Brown rice and shrimp on the menu. The restaurant was empty and the first person at the Hostess booth could not work less with us. With the fullness of the amazing short North food, this was only for us...

Great decor, excellent food, friendly and attentive staff. Perfect for a complete meal or a fast pre-post theatre! (Note to windowwashers- you are not)

Absolutely wonderful and authentic food. The tempura is one of the best in town. Large curries and can adapt heat to your taste.

We went to this restaurant because of proximity to our house and a Groupon. Despite there being only about 6-8 other patrons in the restaurant, our appetizer and main entrees (Which were mediocre) took a very long time to get to us to the point that the server profusely apologized.
