Hickory Tavern - Columbia

Went a little b4 1pm on a Monday it wasn't too busy but it took about 20mins to get our drinks and then another 30 minutes to get our food. I had the Cedar Salmon it was ok kinda bland and I wish the serving was bigger since it cost $19 and I got a sliver of salmon. Baked oysters were pretty good though. Husband got the shrimp and grits and liked it. Server was very nice but wasn't wearing a mask which I didn't particularly enjoy. We sat outside so I can't comment on what the inside was like. Overall it was just ok for me

The staff was nice and the beer was cold and delicious but the cooks need to be told not to add so much salt to their food, also my fish and chips were soggy and oily the fish had an after taste and again super salty I couldn’t eat it and my husband left his whole plate alone for fear of a heart attack. Sorry but I won’t return.

Great food, great drinks, great service. We were out to enjoy a relaxing dinner and we got it. Our server, Nina was brilliant and didn't rush us, but was very attentive. I want to finish drinks and appetizers first and then order dinner. I loved building their own salad that was excellent (fresh, different toppings available and was large enough to be a filling for me) and satisfying. My guests had their chicken and rice dishes and pulled pork sandwich, the two compliment was very delicious. We will definitely be back there for a meal or drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. Great sports bar also.

I shared a meal with fluffy fishing and crispy chips in hickory tavern with some cool friends and enjoyed the lively atmosphere and good eating. I went totally into satisfaction with hickory tavern over board. I recommend hickory tavern to anyone who wants to have an excellent experience.

After a long day of travel, in this hidden jewel for a fast bite. Our server, Michelle, was fantastically very friendly and attentive. I had sat the regular wings on the Carolina Gold bbq sauce. The wings were delicious, the sauce was sweet and tangie, but I wish they were just a bit crispy. Still delicious. My MIL had the charred wings and they raves over them. I will definitely try to be in town next time.
