Bidra med feedbackCute little place for a lunch date or a late breakfast. There are several unique plates and brunch is served all day on Saturday Sunday. Their Cinnamon Vanilla Waffle is amazing. It’s served on a baguette that’s often too crispy at other places. Not here! It has a nice crunch on the outside, but the inside is baked to perfection with a nice, soft center. Their house-made sugar butter is to die for! I saw other dishes coming out of the kitchen, that look amazing too. I had their Greek Salad, filled with all the ingredients you’d expect and it was more than enough to make it a meal. From the level of service we got, I thought it was possible we were being served by the owner, the way she took great care of of her guests. I love how they take advantage and use ingredients from other local businesses for their mixed greens, fresh baguettes and crisp beer. I’ll definitely be back to partake in some of their charcuterie boards. If you desire simple foods, prepared in a fresh, unique way, exceptional service and a lovely ambiance, be sure to stop by and experience it for yourself!
First time trying this place out as a local and was looking for the ‘all day brunch’ options. Went to order the quiche and was told it was unavailable or ‘not being served today’. Then I went to ask if there was anyway to get a breakfast plate that would include egg, potatoes or meat. No, it’s all a la carte. Lastly, I went with the buttermilk pancakes that was supposed to come with berry compote. It wasn’t until after I received my order that I was told there was no berry compote. But was still going to be charged $14 for two dry buttermilk pancakes. I ended up having to ask for a price adjustment cause it didn’t make sense to charge someone full price for something that was received as it had been advertised. I got 10% off my bill. (Tax). None the less, I went ahead and paid for all the other fixings a la cart and received burnt bacon (only 2 small pieces $4) and a burnt fried egg (uneatable $3). I was not impressed at all with how the food was presented let alone the outrageous cost of it all. Probably won’t choose to eat here again. And would have just been nice to know a lot of the options for their so called ‘all day brunch’ were really unavailable. It shouldn’t cost one person $25 to eat breakfast.
So good we went twice in one weekend! Everything was excellent.Food: 5/5

Buck and Board is my favorite lunch spot in Columbia. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere relaxing, and the staff is attentive. I look forward to getting over there for brunch one weekend while I'm in town.Food: 5/5
