Captain D's - Colorado Springs

Staff was polite and service was quick. Restaurant was clean as far as I could tell. Location is good right off of Powers and Barnes. That was the good... the food was bland, I had breaded fish, fries, and Mac-n-cheese. The mac-n-cheese was sadly the bright spot of the meal. The fish was so heavily breaded, I?m definitely not scared of a little breading, but it was way too much(see pics). I ended up with a plate FULL of breading after eating heavily breaded fish. Very strange but the fish was piled on top of random fried batter as well(see pics). I highly recommend changing the recipe and using about a quarter if not less of the batter. I was very disappointed after seeing this place open and wanting to go here for awhile.

The server was very pleasant and helpful. I hadn't eaten here since I was a kid so I thought I give it another try to see if my memories of all the deliciousness stood up. Got the ultimate platter. It was fine; too much fried for my stomach. It was alot of food and all were prepared as expected. Nothing to complain about. I think my expectations were not in alignment with the Captain's vision.

First time trying this place and ill never have it again. The lettuce on my sandwich was disgusting. Fries were pretty soggy..just not a good experience.

Always enjoy great food and service here. Value is amazing due to affordable prices and very tasty selections. My wife enjoyed the salmon and I loved the catfish feast.

It's the best Captain D's in Colorado Springs. The staff was professional and friendly. The food was cooked exactly how we asked. We ate inside which they constantly checked and cleaned.
