When the card doesn't pass, you don't want to tear out the customer's card and keep it in your hands. We ask the client to remove her card herself. Same when a code is composed the knowledge to live would involve not looking at the customer tpe. I've never allowed myself this kind of thing, working myself in direct contact with the clientele.
