Le Cantou - Collonges-la-Rouge

Although Collonges-la-Rouge has its primary appeal to tourists, Le Cantou is not just a tourist restaurant. The service and quality of the offerings are very thoughtful and of high-quality. In particular, I should mention the various salads (fresh and vibrant), theTete-de-Veau (really good and authentic), and the confit de canard, which was juicy and flavorful. Some good serviceable wine as well. We were there for an early lunch around noon, which I would recommend in order to avoid the later hungry crowds.

Four of us for lunch under the shady vines. We all had the beef, it was absolutely excellent, so tender and tasty. Service is very welcoming with a smile. We all had soft drinks, main course and pudding and coffee for under €30 a head. Will go again.

We loved our lunch here. A warm welcome, good service and great food. Looking forward to going back in April.

Un vrai régal! Une excellente cuisine régionale, le service est rapide , le personnel agréable. Des entrées au dessert, tout était parfait! Le rapport qualité prix est très correct. Nous recommandons!

Alors que le restaurant était bondé le patron nous a accueilli sur notre insistance en terrasse alors que la pluie menaçait encore. Table dressée en une minute pour 6 adultes et 6 enfants. Super formule enfant, omelette aux girolles d'anthologie, service par des jeunes filles hyper efficaces pour un prix raisonnable et sans attente... bonne surprise dans un village si touristique !
