Bamboo Terrace Restaurant - Collingwood

There was a time the Bamboo Terrace would have received 5 stars hands down.

The Bamboo Terrace is a Collingwood institution - it used to be on Hurontario Street, but moved a few years ago to 1st street. It is now housed with a sushi place (I can never remember the name) and you can get all you can eat sushi and chinese food for a very reasonable price. Their takeout Chinese food is still great - the best wonton soup I have ever had, and really good eggrolls.

Very nice food, liked their atmosphere. Was impressed with the chicken, not greasy. But I didn't like the eggroll that much. It was not hot and was mushy inside. The Chow Mein was very tasty, full of colour and flavour. The rice was average. The servers were very polite and were always watching to see if someone needed anything, I noticed that as I sat there. They were very attentive.I had enough to take home a doggy bag which i enjoyed the next day for lunch. I will go back to try some of their other menu items.

Sometime last year when they merged with Kitcho Sushi I was concerned that the menu would change or that the food would not be as good but I'm glad to report that its still the same good food and great service.

This place is seriously awesome. There is NO buffet table to clarify, and the place is newly renovated and run by amazing people. We go there very often, and the staff are so friendly, they got to know us and now even make a specialty dish just for us! I can't say enough about the freshness of the food, the delicious flavours, and amazing variety that this place offers. I have never had a bad experience, always had great service, and I will continue to visit them as often as I can.
