Bidra med feedbackNot for vegetarians unless you’re fond of deep fried potato rolled up and labelled a ‘sausage’ for breakfast. Kitchen staff also very dismissive when asked incredibly poor customer skills. Very disappointing this morning, won’t be coming back again.
Went for the adventure golf with my 3 year old as he loved dinosaurs and we had a blast. Was a little quicker then expected so decided to have lunch. Then it all took a turn. Apon entering the restaurant it was wonderfully air conditioned. Sat by the window. We were a little early for lunch so decided to have a drink first. 2 cokes and a j20. Coke was flat and got 3 bits of ice each in a hot glass. But whatever, I can live with that as was thirsty. I asked if we could order lunch now (11.45) ready for them to start cooking it at 12 when it started. Was told it was fine by the chef (who was working on the bar which was strange). Was told the oven just needed a little time to heat up. After I'd ordered I saw the digital thermometer said 85⁰ so immediately I knew I'd made a mistake. Working with these ovens for the last 5 years I knew it'd be a minimum of 30-40 minutes before the stone was hot enough. But we weren't in a rush so decided we could wait. 40 minutes passed and still no pizza (bare in mind with a correctly temperature oven they should take 3 to 4 minutes to cook) so I went to ask how long they'd be. You lady asked the chef and we were told they're coming. Ham and pineapple and a pepperoni, easy right. Wrong. Ham and pineapple arrived. We were told the chef wasn't happy with the pepperoni so was making another. So we thought that's fine, it happens. Until we started to eat and the dough was raw. Cheese and toppings over cooked and the sauce was just tomato puree and very, very salty. Returned it immediately explaining why and was told they'd make another. Another 35 minutes passed with 3 tables and 3 members of staff having there meals cooked and served before I had to get up and ask again. Was told they were coming. Sat back down, 3 minutes later the pepperoni arrived. Again, straight away I could tell, cheese (which strangley I think was Cheddar) over cooked, greasy, crust burnt and dough only just cooked but still a soggy base. 3 year old was restless at this point so we had no choice. Then the Ham and pineapple arrived and it was the same story all over again. Apon receiving the final pizza we were asked if we'd like a drink to compensate which was something I suppose. I feel sorry for the poor girl on the bar. I think she wasn't old enough to serve alcohol so that's why the chef had to keep coming out and pouring pints. We were the only others in there eating for the best part of 40 minutes. Pizza was awful, tasted better from your local kebab house, the building in its entirety looks tired and in need of maintenance. I used to come a lot 5 or 6 years or so to play golf, but it's fallen a long, long way from the quality it used to possess. Needs some attention all round. Would recommend the adventure golf and the golf facilities as both were and look great. If only the same tlc was turned to TKC. Won't return to eat in a hurry.
I just had a meal at The Kitchen Club with my family. The Carvery option was amazing. The vegetable soup was delicious and flavorful, making for a fantastic starter. The meat options were perfect and we were even offered more meat, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed pork, turkey, and beef sourced from a local butcher. The dessert was also delicious.
Had the Mother’s Day set menu and it was amazing! One of the best roasts I’ve had! Friendly staff and very helpful.
I recently visited the crazy golf course at this cafe twice in the past few days and decided to have lunch after my second visit. Unfortunately, my 8-year-old was not allowed to order from the children's menu because it was only 11:30am and the chef mentioned it was too early for that. The waitress relayed this message to us as the chef did not come out to speak with us directly. After some questioning, we were informed that the children's menu was only available during lunchtime, which started at 12pm. Despite the lack of busy-ness, it would have been nice if they were more flexible with their menu options to accommodate their customers' needs. We ended up ordering from the adult breakfast menu, and my son reluctantly had a sausage sandwich as he really wanted something from the children's menu. I opted for the cooked breakfast, which was decent, although the scrambled eggs were a bit runny. Overall, the food was just below the standard you would expect from a Premier Inn.
