Steel Restaurante Bar - Coimbra

Went here for an evening meal. The place is much bigger than it appears from outside. There are large rather tasteless chandeliers and various coloured lights which flash on and off. There are a large number of televisions showing football. The service is good and the meals are average. They have pizza and pasta and various fish and meat dishes. We had a main course a desert and some wine and this came to 32 euros so it is reasonably good value.

Good environment arrived for lunch and were the only people there (eventually people started to come in but it was really quiet which was perfect). The problem was the really loud music, which we had to ask to change otherwise it would be impossible to talk during lunch. It has a really nice (and big) space, so if there is a big group, there is space for eveyone without getting too crowded. The food was very tasty (had the daily suggestion of beef with mustard sauce) and the portion was enough for me (not sure tho if it would be enough for someone that usually eats a lot). The drink is included in the lunch menu, coffee or dessert too. The price (because of this) is very approachable (8,5 euros). The staff was very nice and fast. If you are visiting, it is really close to the University and the city center, so it is a great option for lunch.

We managed to have two dinners here in 4 days. The restaurant is near the University and serves a high-quality Italian menu. There are both large platters and individual servings. They do an excellent job.
