O Ceyra - Coimbra

O Ceyra is an excellent restaurant serving a good selection of prata do dia. The food is well prepared and the wine selection is also very good. Great value for the price

A casual visit turned into a long pleasant lunch, after the very warm welcome by Luis-Philippe, the owner whose wife was the chef. We left promising ourselves to make this casual restaurant a regular spot for us, just minutes out of Coimbra.

We had lunch here 4 days ago (November 2022) during our short trip to Coimbra. We found this restaurant accidentally on our way back to Porto. We saw many cars and we decided to stop by. And it was a great decision to have lunch here. Pros: 1. The staffs are so nice and kind. 2. They have prato do dia €10 with all included. 3. If you want to eat Portuguese food, you must stop here. 4. We both order grilled chicken and it was not disappointed. It is tasty and big good portion. The food comes with batata fritas, rice and salad. The soup is tasty and big portion. 5. The entrance bread, sauce, and olive oils are good. 6. The dessert is delicious too. I chose natas. 7. Entrance accessible gor wheelchair. 8. Free wifi. 9. Free restroom. 10. Payment in cash or Multibanco. 11. The restaurant is clean. Cons: 1. Nothing!!!

Delicious dishes, including fresh hake and cod fish, whole roast suckling pig and traditional Portuguese recipes such as Francesinha e Arroz de Cabidela . The staff members are predominantly cordial and the restaurant has both outdoor and indoor, generous spaces with good air circulation. Take away is also a great choice. My only complain is about the cuisine Menu that should include as I see it some fast food options such as handmade burguers and pizzas :
