sSs BBQ Barns - Coffs Harbour

Not a bad spot for a decent steak and rib meal. Went there after talking to some locals as we were after a grill night. Prices were ok, meals were a good size and the steak was cooked to order and delicious. Probably not a budget diner but it was a special occasion and we all enjoyed the atmosphere, the drinks and the meals.

My parents use to run the SSS in Gunnedah when I was a young 12 year old! 25 years later, it still has the same energy and amazing taste and brought back memories from when I was a kid! I had the chicken and rib combo with baked potato, coleslaw with a side of mushroom sauce. Melt in your mouth ribs and delicious chicken! That sauce still tastes the same! LOVED IT! The only thing that could have topped my experience off was the peanuts and popcorn. Not sure if you guys have this anymore but wasn’t offered them. Maybe you guys don’t do this anymore? Anyway! Enough rambling! 10/10!! Looking forward to my next visit when I’m next in Coffs Harbour!

Terrible food and service. Had two servings of half of rack of ribs and both were dry, no seasoning and whether cooked from frozen or cooked days ago and heated up. The fries were soggy and old. Coleslaw had no flavour at all. There were six different waitresses who waited our table yet nobody even remembered to get us cutlery. Every 10 minutes there was a new waitress trying to sell us more drinks yet we had to ask several times for cutlery, share plates, table water etc. We left most of the food and were given both meals for free as the food was basically inedible. The prices do not reflect the quality of the food and half the menu items were not available. Do not go there

The food and service was 5 star, they looked after all of us from the second we walked in the door. The staff were so friendly and kept in touch with us through out the dinner service and they were great at singing happy birthday to our son who turned 16 and was worth seeing his face when all the stuff sang him happy birthday We all will be back next time when we drive through and make it our dinner pit stop
