Lemongrass Garden - Coffs Harbour

We went here because of all the great reviews. It was mid week in the evening. The place was pleasant enough. The Vietnamese Pho was light and fresh but the rare beef was hatched and not as I expected. The Thai dishes were just average - slightly over seasoned and greasy. Our waitress was pleasant but she was the only one there. A little pricey for what it is.

I was eager to have lunch at this restaurant because of good reviews and it is very close to where we live. We walked to this restaurant and I was already thinking of how much we will enjoy having Vietnamese food for lunch. We arrived Saturday 1:30 pm and it was empty. Oh there was a kid on one of the tables watching something on a tablet. After a minute, someone resurfaced. He appeared like a robot, emotionless and cold. He gave us the menu then left. He returned after a few minutes and asked for our orders. I asked for OJ in which he said they only have pineapple juice and so i said yes then he said sorry its actually apple. And i was ok with that.I ordered Beef pho and spring rolls and the oj turned pineapple turned apple juice. My husband ordered something else.Drinks arrived, oh and no question from the waiter if we want to have water.Spring rolls arrived, it was bland. My pho arrived and the noodles smells like it has been in storage for years and the pho is the worst pho i had. My husbands food arrived and he said it was underwhelming.The customer service we received was Zero. He does not serve a purpose if all he does is get our order and deliver. They could just open a hole in the kitchen and I could have just ordered through there and serve myself.Never did he ask if we need anything and he was back in the kitchen so if you need something you have to come get him.The soup (pho) spoon was also dirty. You can scrape the yuckiness at the back of the spoon. Oh and cobwebs are present as well.Overall we paid $36 which is cheap but with how they served us and with the quality of food it felt they owe us more.So i'm not coming back. I will not recommend it to anyone. Unless you want happiness to die- then you are at the right spot. Oh I provided my feedback to the waiter. He was not apologetic . Instead he responded with a "hehehehe" face.

We were not disappointed after finding this on trip advisor. The atmosphere and food made for a brilliant end of day dinner. We couldn't fault the food...in fact we ate too much as it was too good to leave anything!

Our first of many dinners I am sure because this is a lovely Thai/Viet restaurant where every dish we ordered was just yum- fresh tasty and beautifully presented. It was ANZAC eve and the restaurant became quite busy and managed on the floor by one very busy waiter! I asked if they could play some music and shortly we were enjoying ambience as well. Looking forward to going through the menu in the future.

Generous portions. The Vietnamese menu was delicious. We had the prawn crackers, rare beef salad & Steamed vermicelli noodle - flavours good, nice light meal. Child had spring roll and fried rice combo. Friendly service.
