Radicci Italian Bistro - Coeur d'Alene

We went to this place 2x in the past few weeks. The first time I went with my wife and we had two plates, chicken picatta and shrimp scampi. Both plates were good portions, very tasty, repeatable dishes. The service was very attentive, and the atmosphere is nice. The second time we decided to bring the kids so they could try the pizza that the waitress raved about in our previous visit. My wife and I ordered the scamp again and we also tried the chicken marsala for which i requested a lot fo sauce as I am a sauce guy. The dishes were very tasty, but they did charge me an extra $2 for sauce which I think is nickel and diming when you charge $20 for on chicken breast over a bed of pasta. Now for the pizza... unfortunately a very bad experience. We are pizza people, don't eat garbage Dominos, Papa Johns, etc... only quality pizza with quality ingredients. We also make pizza at home with all imported ingredients from Italy, San marzano tomatoes, the best of the best that we can get. The pizza at Radicci was dry, almost zero sauce if any, lacking flavor, just a tremendous disappointment overall. We are demanding with pizza, but not over the top. This pizza was just so bad my kids threw out what they did not eat, and that has never happened before. In summary, a nice restaurant with some good food, good service, comfortable atmosphere, however, stay away from the pizza as you will be thoroughly disappointed.

We BOTH had the Grandma's spaghetti, and it was Great. Tony was our Server, Very Courteous and Attentive to his Customers. Will Definitely be Back.........Food: 5/5

Wonderful Italian restaurant in Hayden. You will find a lot of the locals eat here. Fantastic authentic Italian cuisine and woo fire pizzas. Great atmosphere, especially the outdoor patio seating!Food: 4/5

Overall experience was okay. However, It's not like it should be or used to be. Dirty tables in our immediate location were left for about an hour. The salads were very good, spaghetti squash plate was very good, but the shrimp scampi was too tart for me. There is too much lemon in the sauce, and our waitress confirmed that is the way they prepare it.

Probably 4.5. Very good service. Ambiance isn't intimate by any means. Love the menu choices. Radicci salad was outstanding. Lasagna very good. Great choices for size offerings.
