Bidra med feedbackI wanted to love this place. It lost points in a lot of ways for me. Points for creativity, and a unique theme-honey and bees. Our dinner was underwhelming. The corn chowder was a blob of flavor-meaning lack of. It was served cool, not hot. The Mac N cheese was flavorless. The mashed red potatoes were dry, and the biscuit served as a side was hard. We also got the dates/bacon appetizer-which was yummy, but cold and only 4 came with it. I really enjoyed the cashew pepperoni pizza. Their alcoholic beverages were good. Props to the waitress for attempting to make things right. Not a long wait, and good customer service.
The place has a really nice atmosphere. The waitress was nice but never checked on us after we got our food. I had ordered the “our burger” medium and it came out extremely well done. So much so that it was crunchy. I was able to flag down another waitress and she took care of the issue and the new burger was fine. Burger was nothing special. Frys were good. The pickles that were served on the side had a nice little kick at the end. I understand short staff so I’m not going to complain about the service. I would definitely give this place a second chance. Sometimes it’s just bad luck, as my friends burger came out fine and she ordered hers the same exact way.
We were excited to try this restaurant for inland restaurant week.. The menu looks great. The dining area was cutely decorated. The wait staff were very friendly. I expected a wait and was surprised when we were told it would be about a half hour. It was more than 90 minutes before the appetizers arrived. Multiple tables were cleaned but two sat empty for an hour. The chowder was described as it 's better than it looks which wasn 't difficult given how brown and weird it looked. The fish had an interesting texture that was the only compliment when asked how it was. The fried Chicken looks absolutely amazing, but had almost no flavor. The mac and cheese and deviled eggs were pretty good.
On Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, we went to the Honey Eatery and Social Club for the first time. We stopped in for dinner after the Journey to the North Pole Experience. Our party included my wife, two children, myself, and another couple. The restaurant was pretty empty from the waiting area vantage point but I guess there was a big holiday party taking place elsewhere in the restaurant. The hostess told us it would be a 30-minute wait but it turned out to only be about 10 minutes (which was a nice surprise). The hostess transitioned to be our server. She didn’t know the entire lineup of what was offered on draft so I just settled for a Coors Light. I ordered the fried chicken and my wife ordered the mac and cheese. Because there was no children’s menu and because we doubted they would like anything on the regular menu, we just ordered our kids French fries. To be honest, the fried chicken wasn’t for me. I didn’t think the taste was anything special and I was not a fan of the cold sauce put on the potatoes. My wife and I ended up pretty much trading entrees. However, she felt the same way about my dish as I did. I must say that the mac and cheese was pretty good. The food was brilliantly presented and it is a nice place, but the taste of our meals and the overall service was disappointed. We won’t return to Honey next time we visit CDA but we harbor no ill feelings to the restaurant…I just don’t think it is a very good fit for our family.
We had a nice breakfast here a few days ago. Nice place great atmosphere, server was attentive and beautiful. The portions are a perfect size. The sausage links are very tasty and my eggs are perfectly cooked over medium.
