Las Chavelas - COEUR D ALENE

I don't know why I waited so long to write a review, but this place is the best! Service, food, price cannot be beaten. We love coming here. The food is really good! 11/10 would recommend.

Las Chavelas. If you are looking for good Mexican food in North Idaho, try this place. The chips are hot. The hot salsa actually has a Lil-Kick (hard to find here in The Panhandle). The food is freshly prepared with a lot of meat filling. The birria tacos came with a side of hot sauce that begins to scratch the itch when after some good heat and was definitely spicier as the hot salsa served with the chips. Jenna was also a great server. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

This little Mexican restaurant is super sweet inside, the staff was very friendly and knew what they did? the owner also made his rounds to make sure everyone was happy and satisfied. The food was delicious and the proportions were very generous. I have lived in many different states and tried many Mexican restaurants and this tastes in at least the Top 5. The rice has a lot of taste and the beans were perfectly prepared. We ordered the green sauce chicken enchiladas and also red sauce enchiladas. The shredded chicken was amazing! When I eat, I tend to choose at my food to check for color, consistency and make sure that all ingredients look legit and fresh and when I was at the Enchiladas I was very impressed by the chicken that was perfectly shredded and very tasteful. All about great experience and fair prices

This place has been here for many years and has always been delicious. Las Chavelas is one of the best bargains in town for the amount of food you get. You will also get unlimited chips and salsa. The servers are helpful and friendly.

They're not playing around. Muy macho Tuesday special with guacamole, chips, and salsa is a great deal and a great way to get stuffed if you like wet burritos.
