Satay Bistro - Coeur D' Alene

From out of town. Came here from a strong recommendation from a friend. So glad we did. Everything we ordered: salads, wonton, salmon, lamb were so delicious. We enjoyed every single bite. Cocktails also amazing. We will be back when we return, and we will be bringing friends. The atmosphere of restaurant was beautiful, and the staff friendly.

Excellent food and prices. Amazing server Cody. Can wait to see him again. He made my girlfriend and my experience the best. Dietary restrictions: Very gluten free friendly.

To all reading this post, This may not matter to some but needs to be said. My family and I recently visited Satay for my husband's birthday. It was dismally disappointing! The menu is exciting to read, it makes you feel like someone understands the food they are preparing and serving. This is not the case! The food is over worked and under prepared. If the kitchen staff does not know how to cook the food then change the menu or change the staff. For the money you spend get the bread and the strawberry dessert and skip the rest. Visiting an establishment like this should be an interactive culinary experience. Sell the sizzle and deliver! Don't order the duck, it was not prepared with a beautiful crispy skin. It is served with fatty bubble gum and the flavor of store bought packet glaze. The lamb was served beyond rare when asked for medium with a small pink center. The potatoes tasted like instant potatoes with some goat cheese thrown in as a cover. After a bit of work our dog got his taste. This outing has left us very dissatisfied and can't rewind the time we spent for this milestone meal.

I had the best time at satay! Hopper the bartender was getting absolutely slammed! we sat at the bar, because of this, we thought we would be overlooked.. that was not the case! Hopper was quick to greet us. she has the best energy. she made drinks the entire time as well as went over the menu with us and gave a positive 199% performance. I am convinced she is an octopuses. I was going to get a glass of wine but after seeing the love and attention to detail she put into her drinks I had to get a cocktail, and let me tell you when I say that girl has talent omgosh! the best crafted cocktail ever! not on the menu just ask her and she will get creative. My food was wonderful as well 10 out of 10 !
