Bidra med feedbackWe eat here 2 3 nights a week!!! It's THAT. GOOD. PEOPLE. My wife has a Jalapeno Margarita and I can't get enough of their Curtis Dean Plate... we gladly drive a 50 mile round trip to enjoy this little jewel!
I've been going to El Charro for over 25 years and until today it's IS and will always be my favorite Mexican restaurant. I've never been disappointed with the food or service. It's about Rudy and family. A great setup.
Fajitas ordered for two, although it was not in the menu. Server brought out a record that looked like Fajitas for one but charged us 20 dollars for a chicken breast with two onions and a few green peppers. Would have been nice if we had got more chickens for the price we paid. Luckily the Faijtas was divided for two between man and infant. Had to order one side of the beans because it came only with rice. I've got a pig Burrito plate, but it was just a tough **** wrapped in a tortilla with American cheese. It was hard to chew through. Chips were hard and salsa was not sharp as it had zero jalapeno. Margaritas were good. I'd order with a small plate of beef at lunch prices? when I return. I wouldn't go back to dinner.
Best Mexican. They have a good mix of Cuban and Mexican influences. If you like hot sauces, make sure to ask them (the Cuban is great), because they are not already sitting on the table.
I've been here forever, but now that I don't live in the area, I'm trying to come anytime. It's one of the best Mexican restaurants. The taco is really not to beat, the bowls are made fresh, and the beef in everything is super tasteful. The empanadas are fantastic. You also have a number of Cuban dishes that are pretty good. If you happen to think about coming here, I hope that this will convince you to come, because it's really something of the best good you ever have with some of the nicest employees who use it.
