Bidra med feedbackI tool my girlfriend here for our anniversary. The food was great and not quite as expensive as I'd have anticipated. The waiters and staff were very informative and pay attention when is best to approach the table. I really enjoyed it.
Frankly, I was disappointed. My wife and came here to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary, I made the reservation over a week in advance but we were seated crammed back in a corner in super close proximity to 2 other tables. Definitely not an intimate atmosphere. The restaurant was no where near full, so they could have sat us in a much nicer spot. We ordered the sea scallops as an appetizer and they were delicious, but the main courses, melange of seafood and red fish, were quite overcooked and dry with enormous amounts of mashed potatoes. Dessert of crème brûlée and dark chocolate cake was very good. If we return, a do not think we will opt for any of the fish dishes.
My husband and I dined here yesterday, we ordered the Brie to start, neither of us drink alcohol so we do wish there was more non alcoholic beverages to chose from on the menus We got the peach tea to drink not my favorite as it was unsweet tea but my husband enjoyed it. The Brie was good creamy and the orange sauce goes nicely with it though I wish the bread was crispy the jelly made it a bit stodgy. For entrees I ordered the chicken gnocchi which was delicious and filling, my husband ordered the prime steak it came out over cooked he asked for medium rare and got medium well and his potatoes were rubbery and the fat on the steak was not rendered making it a bit chewy to eat. And while this absolutely is not our servers fault we decided not to bring it up because we were surrounded by the most insufferable patrons I have ever encountered in my life and I greatly commend the staff’s patience and a level of professionalism when dealing with so many difficult guests back to back (at least 3 tables worth) So we decided against raising the issue because the staff was dealing with such terrible tables during the duration of our meal over all it was pleasant and the issues were minor. Would definitely consider coming back but maybe dining further away from other patrons.
We had a wonderful 21st anniversary dinner here the other night. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the filet mignon, perfectly cooked, and my husband had the chicken gnocchi dish. The salad that came with dinner was also great, loved the blue cheese dressing with actual blue cheese chunks. The fresh bread that came out before dinner was fresh from the oven. We had a glass of champagne, a glass of wine with the mains, and shared the key lime pie/blood orange dessert which was super good although too much for us to finish after all the other food. Total was around 140-150 with tip. Service was very kind and attentive (different staff stop at your table randomly which was different for us but not a bad thing) and we never felt rushed. Overall, I'm glad we went here (1st time) and had a great experience.
Tucked into a pocket in Cocoa village, lies the charming and welcoming Cafe Margaux with a whimsical fountain and outside area covered by umbrellas along with a inside dining area showcasing a stunning interior and multiple rooms sit in. The service was perfection. The staff was kind, hospitable and happy to recommend detailed descriptions of their offerings. Truly masters of their art. We started with a bottle of wine, their endless bread and butter service and their Wagyu meatballs, Crab cakes and Famous Tomato soup. All exceeded expectations. The soup alone makes me dream of my next visit. Their house salads came with a choice of dressings; we tried the vinaigrette and blue cheese. Both were divine and very fresh. For the entrée;, we both chose the beef tenderloin cubes, served on a skewer with a beautiful presentation and show by our server. Mash potatoes were creamy, the gravy had a wonderful rich cognac flavor, and the vegetables were soft, flavorful and firm. For dessert, we had a delicious cappuccino, and tried the pecan pie and chocolate cake with homemade whip and sprinkles! As fine dining as this was, the kid in me rejoiced at the site of the sprinkles! From beginning to end, this was an extraordinary experience. For anyone looking for a special occasion or just an evening to spoil themselves, Café Margaux is the way to!
