Embleton - Cockermouth

Wonderful lunch out. The sandwiches were lovely and the puddings are just the best! We sat in the window with beautiful views and the waiter was friendly, helpful and very efficient.

All in all we had a great experience for our evening meal. We were staying at Embleton Hotel so made for a very convenient choice! We were asked to make a pre-order so didn’t have to wait long for our meals to arrive. Service was good and we weren’t hurried along to leave our table. There were a couple of complaints about the food from other customers whilst we were sat having post-dinner drinks, which weren’t handled very well in my opinion and only served to upset customers more. However, we experienced good service and great food My only personal niggle was being sat at the back of the room in a booth which was dark and couldn’t see any of the amazing view on offer whilst enjoying dinner. Being able to see out the window would have given it top marks for me
