Tao Cafe - Cloverdale

My husband and I use to eat at this Tao all the time. We needed a last minute dinner and we wanted to get some take away. I googled the opening hours and it said they closed at 9pm. I arrived at 8:40pm and the open sign was still on the door. I was very annoyed when the staff member who I approached after entering the store told me that the kitchen had already closed. I find it hard to believe that a kitchen would shut 20 minutes before closing time. Very disappointed and a waste of my time. I won't be back. Service: 1

Pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of foods. Was keen to try the yukimi, but that never came out, Maybe it's ordered. Prices were ok, though it can add up quickly if you're grab happy. We were the only ones their, then all of a sudden it got busy as within half an hour. We popped in prior to watching a movie and would love to return. Pad Thai the noodles are still hard. The flavour indistinguishable and I’m struggling to find chicken in it. : one solid bit of noodle at the top of the plate. The texture of the dish is mushy. The worst overpriced blandest sushi of my entire life. I spent $23 on 4 pieces of tuna sushi. 3 store bought my mochis and tuna sashimi the size of 4 of my fingers. The teriyaki chicken sushi I ordered was kindly refunded as I pointed out it was boiled chicken and not a drop of terriaki in sight.
