Bidra med feedbackWith two coealic kids this was a gluten free find. The fabulous owner has a son with Coeliacs so he and his wife know exactly what we needed. Kids loved the crepes - we loved the breakfast. The staff are friendly, the food is yum and its a short walk to the beach afterwards. A great local
One of our favourite places for breakfast. Can't go past the Eggs Burnies, which is always spot on, a great combination of tastes and textures and very well presented. Simon, Sophia and Anna are never anything but calm and welcoming and up for a chat. Highly recommended.
We went to Burnies twice for lunch last weekend, and enjoyed the food. Simple, tasty and good. If you are a celiac, it is seious about its gluten free options. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive. The venue is very pleasant.
Hubby and I enjoyed an anniversary dinner at Burnie's. We had an entree and main each, the chef did an amazing job putting the menu together because we were beyond impressed, I seriously cannot express how tasty the food is here. The wait staff were friendly and knew the menu well. The atmosphere was relaxing and romantic. We checked out the breakfast & lunch menu too, we'll definitely be back.
Some friends of ours who we hadn't seen for some little time, suggested we meet at their "local cafe" for dinner the other night. So off to 'Bernie's Cafe' we dutifully went.Well, I am hear to tell you, I don't know what Bernie's is like during the day but at night the food is just beautiful! Owned and run by a couple, both of whom work the kitchen, the food that emerges is as good as you would get anywhere in Sydney at twice the price. Really impressive guys!!It's small and because of it's location in the beachy suburban east of Sydney it can be a little too 'child friendly' (I am not), even at dinner, but it is worth it because the food is great.Service is very friendly and efficient and the wine list is very acceptable.Priced to please. In short a really great little find.
