Bidra med feedbackWonderful spot on the banks of the lagoon at the mouth of the river separating Finistete from Morbihan. Spacious garden serving a small hamlet comprising jetty, hotel, letting accomodation and houses also with a nearby sea beach, Limited and simple menu but a superb place for a quiet relax.
We stopped off after a long walk on the beach. Setting is lovely with great views over the estuary. You could easily spend an afternoon here with a cold beer. The beach is one of the few dog friendly beaches in summer that we found.
We ate a late lunch here after a delightful river cruise on a hot day. Its a lovely setting overlooking the estuary and bay down in the Port area of le Pouldhu. The service was speedy and we both had a generously portioned fish based salad with some great herring and smoked mackerel as well as the usual salad things. Very tasty and very welcome and also good value. We ate outside to get the breeze but indoors looked very comfortable too. Not sure if is linked to the large Hotel du Pouldhu opposite which had the best looking menu for evening dining in the area.
Our first visit but not I hope our last. We both enjoyed a delightful crepe for lunch accompanied by local cider. Cafe le ster laita is in an idyllic and peaceful spot, sitting outside there is a beautiful view of the inlet from the sea.
After having eaten in hotel on the other side, you can sit back and enjoy the calm here in the small port
