Bidra med feedbackGreat place to satisfy your lunch cravings as well as giving support to our firefighters by rounding up your left over change? allowing the firefighters to reinvest the pennies given back into that community.
What happened to this place and how is it still in business? 1 order ahead of us and it took about 30 minutes to leave with our food. The place didn't seem very clean but if it was, they lost confidence in me with the utter lack of desire when the woman behind the register seemed put out by our very small order. Very awkward, very very slow and now my potato soup tastes like mush with salt. We wanted a meatball sandwich but after a sigh and checking on the empty container, she told us it was going to be a while. Not sure what that meant but I'm guessing North of 1/2 hour was within the likely range. Masks not worn well and both workers seemed to have colds. Why am I rating it 2 and not lower? I've had better (not great) experiences here in the past and the sandwich was tasty and I love the first responder support they market. Do better firehouse subs or they will be leasing your space to the next craze circuit training class or even worse.... Subway!!!
The firehouse theme is cool, and it's nice they try to support first responders. The food is good, but not good enough to justify $12 for a sandwich. Customers don't need to hear the employees complaining about another employee that apparently never shows up for work. Have that conversation in private or not at all. Its also kind of weird to ask for tips. You arent a server or waiter that has to cover lots of tables, refill drinks, process payment, etc. You run a register and make sandwiches. You ought to be paid a fair wage from the company and not ask for tips that customers have no reason to pay. Customers shouldn't be responsible for paying an associate's wage anywhere.
We have always had great food and service at either location we have been in. Great place to eat and relax for a bit
It was very good. The subs are served hot, toppings are generous and the bread is soft. Served with a pickle spear! (A nice touch to set apart from other sub shops) Place was clean and the employees were friendly. Medium with chips and a drink was under $10. Borderline 5 stars but I'm pretty stingy on handing out 5 stars. Edit: after eating there a few times it's a 5 star!
