I was there last night, on a Tuesday, and had the worst service of my life. The waiter came right over to get a drink order and never came back. The only way we got to place a food order was to flag someone down after we had been there quite awhile The calamari was excellent. The pizza was mediocre. After 11/2 hours, we flagged down a waiter and asked for our pizza and the response was, oh well, too bad. And they were out of clams. They didn't apologize and they didn't do anything to try to make the situation better, even though they were quite aware of our displeasure. I won't be back
First time here walked in we did not have reservations so we waited just a couple mins to sit once seated they forgot about us and we waited long enough that just as we were getting up to leave a waiter came over and apologized for the wait. Ordered was eating salad husband finished first I had to state that I would like to finish my salad she stood there waiting for me to finish until I stayed that I would like to finish frustrating Husband ordered veal special said it was very good I ordered chicken Marsala very good We didn't get dessert only because we wanted DQ Would we be back not sure
Was a little apprehensive about coming here. Years ago it was the Hungry lion and I had not a good experience. NO need to worry this time! We had a great dinner and great service. I will say the interior is not what you expect from the outside. it was well lit upto date very beachy cottage feel. All of our dishes were very good but visually not what you would expect to see in an Italian restaurant. Nothing was drowning in a house red sauce. The appitzser we had was clams casino. Bacon bread crumbs and whole belly clam. Very good and flavorful, I would have liked a shot of tobasco but that's me, not everyone. The Zupa Di Marre was fradiavlo and seasoned with not crushed red pepper but green chillis? and posb some creole seasoning? Not sure but it tasted very good but just something that I had never really expected. My girlfriend had a dish they make with veal but she ordered with instead. Eggplant chicken parm. Very savory and great flavor but no clue what the gravy sauce was? We kept soaking bread in it to try and figure it out. Still no idea. Lol nice cheese and bread brought to our table with some sort of pickled garlic? It was sweet lime a relish? We had Moscato and it was very good! NO desert because there was just no room for it. We will return again many times because we liked the service and the food. Looking forward to the next time to see what surprises they have in store. maybe a putnesca sauce with clams and sausage? Enjoy. Don't hesitate to try this place it was a great change of pace and we felt welcomed by the staff.
