Happy Garden - Clifton

I thought this was going to be standard Chinese food but when it took 15 minutes I realized they were cooking the food instead of reheating frozen food. It was delicious.

Horrible food. Sesame chicken is loaded with flour. Sautéed broccoli has a bitter taste. Low menu is bland and no taste. Overall food quality is old. We spend $50 for food to go to garbage. Don’t buy good here. Go to Hunan in Clifton, NJ. It’s closed on Monday unfortunately. I tried to give this Chinese place opportunity but they are selling old food.

Been here a few times and their food is as expected. The rice compared to other Chinese restaurants can be more bright yellowish but it's still good. Their homemade ice tea is very tasty as well as their homemade sugar donuts.

I was debating whether to give 3 or 4 stars. The food had pretty good flavor and the rice was really good. However the chicken was very fatty and seemed like it was low quality. I also only had 2 lonely pieces of broccoli in my lunch, which may be a plus to some people, but I like broccoli. Good value for lunch though, and if my chicken wasn't so fatty it would have definitely been 4 stars.

Mostly good. I like the scallion pancakes and egg drop soup. Egg rolls are ok. The seafood soup is pretty good. Could use more shrimp. Also had the fried dumplings. I like them crispier.
