The bar employees just complained about management the entire time but at least they were a little heavy handed in the drinks which is good. Rooms were nice, a little outdated but nice. The little shop they had with snacks and drinks and such was a bad experience though. Overpriced, took forever for an employee to get to me, some blonde in a suit with a clipboard (who I’m assuming is a manager of some sort, and if she was this is not good, wish I would have caught her name) looked at me waiting to pay and just walked away while staring at her phone. I’d rather just get food and drink elsewhere. Lowered my star rating because of the poor food and drink experiences.
The Marriott has always been my preferred place of stay because of the excellent hospitality and comfort. However, Devon Ross,night manager, was very inhospitable, contentions, and unprofessional. He denined my right to a government rate without even asking for my government ID! When I told him I would rather talk to someone nicer he then denied my service altogether, not because I didn’t have the money simply because he felt he had the power to do so! It was well after 1am. I shared with him I had children in the car to which he responded that wasn’t his problem. He had absolutely no plausible reason to deny my children or I service beyond the fact that he was on a power trip . I’ve emailed the general manager and left a voice mail no one has contacted me! I will complain to the corporate office.
I am a huge Marriott Fan. Had 2 booked one Here 1 at Hilton. Gave my hiyon room away. They got 26th flloor, amazing views and huge room.space. Stay 2. Today 7/1/24 We'll I showed up today to stay again here and I was shocked. My luggage was taken out of my car and left on a cart in the drive. I went and got it. Check in was slow and I was the only one checking in. Then I had to push my cart to my room and unload it. So not a good start. Got to a room and it was old and dated.Not well.cleaned, Looked at the next building. Unloaded my own cart fine asked for a larger room space for my Mobility cart. The room is a handicapped room and very tiny. So I called the desk, got.passed to the manager Abby. And now it begins... She starts off at telling me she just got to work, and she can take me and show.me other rooms. All I asked for was a larger size roo. for space to.move around better. it was her attitude and tone that continued to set me off. All I asked and she started in telling me she is being helpful, wants to fix it, offered to show me other rooms, on and on. I just listened to her vent. She did not listen to me at all. So I said, Thank you for your time. She asked if I wanted to see how small the other rooms were? I kindly declined saying I did not need to be around all that negativity. Check out the photos. I'll ask to have it cleaned.
I recently reserve a room here I was refer by 2 friends who previously stayed there they told me about good service good customer service about a hour later I had to cancel my son was in a car accident I couldn't get the room I went through booking. Com I got in touch with booking. Com they said they would ask I could get refund the Marriott refuse to give me a refund I never stayed in the room the only room I stayed in was the emergency room I will never book a room with the Marriott nor family friends
This is a beautiful hotel. It is a little outdated. We went here for my sons wedding which was absolutely beautiful. We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. The lady (Mary) at the front desk was fabulous! She went above and beyond to do whatever was needed. I pulled in and talked to the man in charge I guess of valet. He kind of gave me a run around and I was on a time limit and didn't have time to go around the block with him. I had early check in. So after rushing to get all my stuff out of the car, which I uneventfully tried to carry into the hotel. Including 2 dresses on hangers. I have never used valet before and doubt I will again after this visit. With thar being said, if you use valet. Be warned, call ahead for your car. I did not the first time and it took them 25 minutes to get my car. There were cars coming in and going out. It was a little before 4 o'clock. We had to be at the rehearsal at 4:30. Needless to say we did not get there until almost 5. I definitely called ahead for my car after that. When I went to check out. Valet was already added to my bill. I showed the gentleman that is was already on my bill. He proceeded to add 2 additional days to my bill for valet. I had to call the hotel after leaving to get my bill straighten out. I have never used valet before and I don't think I ever will again. Especially at $48.00 a night. When I made my reservation valet was only $40 a night. Other than that everyone was very accommodating and we had a beautiful wedding reception and a very happy married couple.
