Catch Grill - Cleveland

This is our local quiet dinner and brunch place. The food is always on point, the only place serving raw oysters in Cleveland, and service is always A+. Highly recommend trying it out.

An inspector in Cleveland had to tell the city fire marshal about a restaurant after grease was found pooling on the ground. The Catch Bar Grill on Inman Street scored a 61. The inspector also found rodent droppings in the restaurant, but said it is up to date on its pest control. Employees were seen grabbing rolls with their bare hands – the inspector explained they needed to use gloves or tools to grab them. The dishwasher was not sanitizing dishes and cutlery properly and was broken. Many foods were being held past the week disposal date, the person in charge threw away 27 pounds of food. The inspector said there was excessive grease on fryers and it was on the floor as well. The restaurant was referred to the city fire marshal. Dishes were not being properly scraped before being washed – and then were being stored dirty. The inspector noted employees were not washing their hands correctly. Open containers of foods were being stored on the floor. The inspector said the person in charge was not effectively managing conditions based on risk factors. We made reservations for mother's day. Service was the worst we'd ever experienced. Waited almost an hour to get our food. We witnessed people leaving before their food ever arrived. One of the dishes we ordered was supposed to come with hollandaise sauce... it was not on the plate... requested the sauce when it was brought out, it was cold? Not our best experience celebrating a special occasion.

Great food and service. The cherry pork was fantastic and the wife's Salmon was great. I don't mind the price if if the food is good. It was.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere that’s rustic and trendy. We had great service. The food was underwhelming, especially considering the price. The fried fish on the fish chips plate was great. The fries tasted like very average frozen fries though. The crab cake sandwich was also just average. Not a lot of flavor. The Alfredo pasta with. chicken was actually the worst we’ve ever had in a restaurant. It was cold, tasteless and very watery. The chicken was cold and bland. We should’ve sent it back but are always hesitant to do so.
