Bidra med feedbackThis is my favorite place to go for lunch if I have the opportunity to go downtown during the work week. The curries are all amazing and the prices are reasonable. I usually order a lamb or goat curry and one or two vegetable dishes. The owner and his wife are very nice and are helpful when sorting out the many menu options.
This place is IT. Inside a random mall style indoor hallway, you will find the window for Indies. The petite woman running the place probably cooks, cleans and runs everything. Bless her heart because her food is amazing. First of all, I got a heaping to go box of food for $6.50. I wanted an all vegan plate and she was so kind enough to let me know exactly which ones were vegan. Everything is clearly marked on her menu board, too. I went with her suggested dishes and she gave me a ladle of soup (complimentary). That soup was so complex in flavor and delicious. Again, everything was so off the charts and rich in flavor. I was served so much more food than I thought $6.50 would get me. I would've happily paid double for the same plate. I highly suggest stopping in for lunch. You can eat at the tables around the corner (also inside the mall hallway) or take it to go. You will not be disappointed.
Run by a lovely Punjabi couple. This whole in the wall stand is nestled in the older arcade. The prices and portions are unbeatable! We got three entrees with rice for less than 8 dollars each. The highlight for me was the fish curry (special of the day) whereas for my boyfriend it was the saag chicken. The only reason why it's not a five is that the dishes are milder than what we are used to (my bf is Indian and we are from the tristate area) but I suppose its flavors are meant to appeal to the general population. I would definitely come back and support this restaurant!
This is a solid Indian food stand. I had three different curried vegetables with brown rice and it was delicious. It wasn't spicy either. Also, it was large portion, so it was very filling. The man behind the counter was very nice and was patient with me while I selected my entrees. I'll be back!
Killer Indian lunch spot tucked away in the arcade. Delicious food at insane prices. The 3 item lunch combo and a drink comes in right at $8. Everything was served up by a little older woman who is very helpful when deciding on your entrees. The menu is has a lot of options and is split into vegetarian and regular choices probably 8 or so of each. The vindaloo, Chili Garlic, and Masala were all well seasoned with appropriate heat levels and super tender. Definitely a must stop for a quick lunch.
