Bidra med feedbackGreat new restaurant in Clemson! We went to Evolve for lunch today and it was fabulous. I had the Reuben sandwich with warm truffle chips and both were great. Lots of meat on the sandwich and very lean, unlike some Reuben's that tend to be fatty. My wife had the 1905 salad. It was also excellent- very fresh ingredients and not ridiculously large. Our server (Jake) was very knowledgeable and attentive. He recommended the Reuben and he nailed it. Really nice vibe in therestaurant, more upscale than the surrounding college sports bars. Reasonable prices. Full bar with a small but eclectic wine and beer selection. Go to Evolve Kitchen+Table, we need more restaurants like this in Clemson! Review Update- wehad lunch at Evolve again today and it was great again. The pandemic can't keep a good restaurant down! The menu continues to Evolve (pun intended). My Southern Cuban sandwich and side salad were both excellent. My wife's Longcreek saladwith grilled chicken was fresh and tasty. Evolve is back, check it out!
The chef accidentally made my burger medium-rare instead of medium. Our wonderful waitress Trinity wanted us to have a great experience and asked us if we needed a new plate or anything at all. We declined but she still insisted we have a dessert on the house. What a wonderful establishment!
Probably the some of the best, most fresh food I have had in Clemson. A breath of fresh air when it concerns culinarily stops in the upstate of SC. Our waitress Delany was awesome basically covered the restaurant by herself! Kid and Adult friendly! Our food was prepared just how we ordered it. The Shrimp tacos are a must must! Covid aware and properly worn masks. Definitely a must try! We started with the FGT?s and the dish was served with a pesto aioli and bacon jam!OMG... this made for an unbeatable take on FGT?s. The shrimp tacos were light, spicy, savory and crunchy, the tortilla chips were also a great compliment especially with fresh guacamole for dipping. Do NOT forget dessert, caramel filling ina traditional churros and chocolate sauce for dipping is definitely a spectacular shareable dessert! Update it?s been over 6 months since We have been here. Still phenomenal! The fried green tomatoes are the best I have ever had, inthe state! It will rival anything in Charleston, with this rendition which comes with a pesto aioli and a bacon jam! Pop?s says his French dip was very tasty! And he has eating a few I?m sure. The aus jus is so legit. The staff work veryhard, to prepare consistent good tasting food, and it shows. They split the Cali club for my wife and I plated separately for us. College town feel. Wonderful staff. Great food. What?s not to like.
Ehh. Nothing to write home about. We had heard good things, and that they were really good, and healthier. I'm not sure what to think, because I didn't really see anything that stood out to me on the menu as unique or healthier. We shared the club sandwich w a side cesar salad. It was just okay. Not bad, not great. Just a basic sandwich. Same w the salad. Nothing I'd think about again, but filled out bellies for that moment. My son got the kids cheese quesadilla and he liked it fine. Again, nothing amazing.I'm guessing this place is known for other items on the menu? Or maybe the basic classics just appeal to the college kids? Wasn't sure what the hype was.The server and host were nice. We sat outside our front. Service was okay, not great. Probably no need to go back.
My wife begged me to take her there cuz it was so phenomenal last time she went with her sister. It got busy quickly and they were understaffed. We waited an hour for sandwiches. One person waiting on the entire bar which is surprising large. Slow service, food was NOT GOOD. Fried green tomoatoes were the size of potatoes. Under cooked too; breading was running under neath. My wife had the chicken Sandwhich which was cold and rubbery with cold Truffle fries (AKA Potato wedges! . I got the cuban which was Luke warm, no flavor and cold Truffle fries. I ate one fry, my wife at one fry and 3 bites of her Sandwhich. A blind waitress/waitor could tell we weren 't satisfied. We just paid and left and will never return. Not worth the money.
