Caribbean Hut - Clemson

Went there to eat on Sunday 08/14/2022. Place went out of business. I really liked their food. Very Authentic Jamaican food.

Literally the best place in Clemson SC. This is my first time posting a freckle but this place convinced me to. Was so good I went back the next day. J and stew chicken are delicious and savory- the ginger pineapple drink is homemade and delectable : update: sadly it looks like it’s closed

Ordered the j chicken combo. Rice was on the dry side. The cabbage was really good. The j chicken not so much. Seasoning was good but every piece of chicken was on my plate was 85% bone. Not worth the money for basically sides and marinated bones.

The food was very good and I got more than I expected. My heritage is Trinidadian ?? which means I tend to expect more flavors and spice in my food but this Jamaican ?? restaurant was more than adequate. Much respect and love to the owner, cook and staff. Thank you.

I am new to the area and was craving some Jamaican beef patties so I decided to give Caribbean Hut a try. I walked out without even trying any of the food because they only had chicken patties and not beef (which is listed on their menu). You want to know how to lose a first time customer, not having what they were craving and the reason why they came. I do not understand how a Jamaican food establishment can run out of the most quintessential street foods in Jamaica. Would give zero stars if I could. Will definitely never be returning.
