Monte De Rey Mexican - Clemmons

June 15, 2024— Last time coming here, like a lot of people say they are very rude. I gave them several chances but I’m done. The food isn’t even that great anyway. I don’t know what was wrong with the bartender with all of the snaggle teeth who took my order. He would not give me a receipt after I paid. But other people who look like them got receipts. I paid cash so maybe he probably pocketed the money. I asked for a side of beans and a side of rice but instead I got a half serving of rice and a half serving of beans in one container. So I paid for food I did not get. He left my food sitting right at the door where everyone walks by. I won’t ever be back. They had a problem with me wearing a mask from day one. I get my food to go. Maybe they don’t like “ certain “ people. They are very nice to Spanish/Mexican/Cuban people, smiling and laughing, but as soon as they see you, that smile turns into a frown. They won’t be in business too much longer with service like this, I see I’m not the only person who thinks so.

Everything was delicious and made fresh to order. Our server was very attentive even though we were seated outside. I'm definitely adding this restaurant to my list of favorites!

Great go to performer. Good is consistently good, ambiance is predictable and service is solid.

4 of my buddies regretfully ate before a round of golf at Tanglewood. Orders were placed, all is good and exactly 1/2 of the order were wrong. Beef instead of chicken. 2 empanadas, not 1. No sour cream delivered when requested. No chili sauce or queso brought after ordered. After mentioning these things to the waitress she just smiled you did nothing. Same thing I did when it came time to tip

Great food, fair prices, and excellent service. Our go to restaurant for Mexican food in the Clemmons area.
