Fantastic service, from the dame on the bar and kerl who brought our food (I'm sorry not name, but they were the only ones.) beautiful smile at the bar and fast, efficient and hot eating at a beautiful, quiet day, sat on the table 26. how we like it. guard from the dame as the band/choir in the other room seemed a little challenging, but treats it great. we're coming back. ps the chicken burgers are amazing
We popped in for a Sunday Carvery on bonfire weekend. It was superb, fantastic veg options, the dauphinois potatoes were lush. We both had the pork, which was tender and moist, and the crackling was cracking!! We’d also timed it perfectly as we’d sat down just as the fireworks started too. Busy, but served quickly with a friendly manner. Had a fab time, we’ll be back soon.
Although the live band/choir in the other room was a bit loud, the staff handled it well. We're definitely planning to return. By the way, the chicken burgers are absolutely amazing!
The food was incredible. We all ordered the carvery, and it was delicious. The meat was beautifully cooked, and the homemade gravy was thick, rich, and served hot. My partner decided to go for the larger portion, which included extra slices of meat and a giant Yorkshire pudding—it was like a meal in itself! Absolutely fabulous! The desserts were also to die for. With just a bit of rebranding and some new staff, this place has everything it needs to succeed. The carvery truly deserves a second chance from others, and we (especially our daughter) can't wait to come back!
