Bidra med feedbackWe stayed at the attached hotel. It's not a nice hotel let's just say that.. so we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this food. We ordered the fresh made, local lamb burger, house made pita and tzatziki, and schnitzel. Everything was flavorful, fresh and generous portions. This food made the stay way more enjoyable.
Ate here the night we arrived in Clearwater since their menu looked good. I loved the sautéed prawns dinner, and my husband liked his chicken rice bowl. We returned the next night and both had the sautéed prawns. It was great that we could choose our sides. The sautéed veggies were different each night. Good service, especially considering how busy they were.
Decided to dine here for convenience as I was staying at the attached Clearwater Lodge. First glance at the menu and I thought the prices were perhaps a bit high. After getting my meal (chicken avocado burger and side poutine) I no longer thought that. Portions were generous (they did not skimp on the bacon or avocado), food was tasty and services was great. Also the side poutine was amazing. They don't have fries so they are homestyle potatoes which are drizzled with a hi made gravy type sauce ... delish.
Dining in the little village of Clearwater is quite a challenge. We found the Gateway Grill to be a quite good and healthy restaurant: The house salad was crispy, the stuffed portobello's (one of the 8 vegetarian menu choices! were tastefull and the chocolate fudge dessert was delecious.
What a surprise to find this gem in such a small town. We were a little apprehensive when we saw you were located in a motel, but delighted with the variety and quality of food offered, the extensive beer selection, and the exceptionally friendly and efficient staff. We really liked the special we ordered and appreciated the perfectly prepared vegetable side. Salad was great, too.
