Bidra med feedbackBest Delta Tamales somewhere!. We're going 90 miles to Clarksdale to get dozens of Hick's hot tamags! They are handmade right there in the restaurant and are still made in corn dishes. Call forward to a great order as they need to get them ready. They even send their dumbbells! For a true taste of Mississippi Delta regional food, you have to go to Hick's.
If you get tired of the tourist traps, try Hicks. You're the right deal. Good enough for the president of the USA when he came to C'dale. You won't find any better houses anywhere else in Coahoma County.
Oh, man can't say how great this place was. Persist in trying to get the nice man to open the door or the window for you and be rewarded with the best deceptions I've ever had. The sides were also excellent, especially the claw.
I made a special trip to try there rib tip plate. To find out that they sold out doing Lunch time and none would be available til the next day. Will try crossing the bridge again soon,so I can finally try there famous They Tamales are delicious, it's worth the drive to cross the MS.&AR. Bridge to get some.
Never had tamales before they were awesome as well has a chili topping (I think) after we were told how to eat them! BBQ was also real good. No other restaurants were open on July 4th 2017 (other than fast foods) and we saw the drive thru and thought we would try it. The owner told us to come on in (even thought they had just closed), sit down and look over the menu no hurry, just TONS of hospitality. We loved it. Thanks for making our 30th anniversary special!!
