Top Table - Clanfield

My first visit to my local fish and chip shop since moving here a year ago. Been going to Horndean Fish and Chips. I asked for a large chips to share with my bf .... The large is not a large. It is a small bag of chips which i could hold in one small hand for £2.80. Absolute rip off. I even questioned it. Things like that really annoy me. You kind of normally know what a large chips looks like. This was not large.

Bought fish and chips, fish was a VERY dark batter it was very over cooked and chips were also darker than normal. I don’t know if fat was too high a temperature or if food left in too long. The chips were still edible but fish was very dry and batter tasted horrible, such a shame.

A good old fashioned fish and chip shop. Good quality and good portions. update. Same except price has gone up a lot. No longer affordable for a family.

Fabulous fish and chips with friendly service. The chips were cooked perfectly and non greasy. The fish was a perfectly generous portion and again, the batter was perfect. Will definitely be using this place again.

I live near the chip shop and my family and I have always had amazing service. Food is good and tasteful. The owner gives generously to charity and is very nice never personally tasted the curry sauce but my parents enjoy it. The staff are friendly and the wait is only longer as the cook most things when you order they dont leave things out or if theres lots of people in there
