Bidra med feedbackDuring a food tour in the Soho area, my husband and I stopped at The Nellie Dean. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly. While the interior was smaller than expected, it was still comfortable and clean. We both ordered the steak and ale pie and were impressed with its hot, flavorful taste. Despite our limited time, we both agreed that we would return to eat here again. I highly recommend trying out The Nellie Dean!
My partner and I visited this pub last Friday evening before heading to a nearby restaurant on Dean Street for dinner. It is a traditional pub with a good variety of ales, beers, and draft ciders. The outdoor area was busy with people enjoying their evening, and inside it was standing room only. Despite this, we would definitely come back as the service was excellent. Highly recommended.
We stopped by for a drink before heading to lunch somewhere else. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice. The pies looked and smelled delicious and the prices were reasonable, especially for London.
From the time you enter the snug bar area downstairs you feel the homely atmosphere, despite it being situated right in the Soho area. There is additional seating upstairs but we never went there. We spent a couple of hours on a Saturday waiting for friends before going to the Jazz club opposite and it continually filled up and emptied as people passed through, but generally there were ususally a few stools left to sit on a lot of people stood outside, which may give you the impression that it is rammed inside which it isn't. Drinks were in line with most London pubs and the staff were friendly and efficient despite being constantly busy. Tables were cleared continually by the staff. Overall impressed and will visit again when next in London. It does food but we didn't eat there.
Small traditional pub with bar seating on 2 floors and plenty of standing room outside. Service was fast and friendly and although we didn’t eat, 2 groups on food tours came in to enjoy the pies while we we’re having our drinks.
