Bidra med feedbackWe stumbled upon this small outpost of a chain restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of food and drinks available. The friendly staff provided excellent service, making our dining experience enjoyable.
Although a well-established chain throughout England, Eat rarely disappoints its customers. This particular location is conveniently situated near the Embankment tube station, at the end of Villiers Street. The variety of three daily soups, along with fresh sandwiches and yogurt, offer a satisfying and affordable meal for adults for under £6. In addition, they offer take-away soups that can be prepared by simply adding boiling water, which are also quite fulfilling. While the prices of bottled drinks may be higher compared to Tesco Metro or other nearby grocery stores, the convenience of purchasing them at Eat makes up for it. They also serve a selection of brewed coffee and lattes. I highly recommend trying the Coconut Chicken Noodle soup (if available) for those who enjoy a bit of spice.
I wish I had known about this restaurant before dining at the embankment cafe. After seeing people in Embankment Gardens with food from here, I now realize what I missed out on. My friend ordered the macaroni cheese and I had their version of tabbouleh, and we were both impressed. The service was welcoming and efficient.
The new breakfast offering is excellent. Delicious sourdough toast with proper butter, and little barbecue bean breakfast pots with a choice of main ingredients, packed with flavour. At last, an interesting alternative for a fast breakfast on the way to work.
Heart warming soups! Quite spicy so very good to ward of the cold outside. Very tasty. Full of chunky vegetables and therefore very filling.
