Kinn Thai Restaurant - CITY

I always choose to dine at this restaurant when I'm with friends! I'm a loyal customer due to its pleasant atmosphere and recommend it to everyone.

We were queued in the cold, even though we had booked and there were plenty of spare tables. Not a warm welcome! Before we even entered the restaurant we were told we needed to leave within an hour and a half. Ok sure. On sitting again we were told it was a 90 minute booking. Our friends daughter unexpectedly joined and we asked if it was possible to add an extra seat..well yes but “if you leave within an hour and fifteen minutes” not even a drink offered and now the timeframe had reduced! No menus. The food was great but the constant rush! We got presented the bill before our 90 minute “deadline”.. by which time the restaurant was basically empty so it is not as if people were queuing for tables! Bill was not brought to the table “pay as you leave”. Overall, great food but a less than enjoyable experience due to the pressure to eat and leave.

Last minute booking for a Sunday night dinner didn't take long before it was full. Service was attentive and friendly. Great menu selection. We shared the crispy barramundi and the sizzling beef. Both serves were generous and full of flavour. Plenty more dishes to tempt me when I return.

The food looked amazing but the service was terrible. After being seated we tried to get the attention of wait staff to order but were ignored. After 20 mins we left, without one staff member even asking if we wanted to order a drink. I have never felt more invisible in a restaurant. It was really disappointing I hope it was just a random understaffed night as this place looks incredibly popular.

Lemon Grass at Woden was closed for Songkran so I went to town and had lunch at Kinn Thai. Staff very efficient. I was seated promptly and my lunch of chilli Thai basil with chicken, soon arrived steaming hot and a fair sized serving for a lunch.
