Holzman Meats - Cincinnati

My family recently moved here from Western Hills where we got all our meat from Humberts butchers for a decade. I wanted to continue patronizing a local butcher and found Holzmans. We have gotten two weekly orders from them and won’t be going back. The prices are truly outrageous. I expect to pay a premium for butcher quality meat, but they are over double other butchers. Paying over $10 a pound for ground chuck or chicken breast is absolutely crazy. They don’t have prices posted online or in their flyer and due to pandemic guidelines, it is curbside pickup only, so you don’t know the prices prior to ordering/pickup. I won’t be going back.

Bought a standing rib roast for New Year’s Day. It wasn’t cheap but it must have been a bad roast. Something wasn’t right. Made us sick. You name it we had it and still going through it. Never again will I purchase anything. Not sure what was in the roast but it wasn’t good. Feel like we were poisoned.

Let me tell ya. When I was working in Ohio i went to this place all the time. The Chicken Salad was amazing!! It's been about 6 years and I have yet to find a chicken salad worthy enough. I haven't had a single item that wasn't delicious. It's worth the 5 hour drive from Illinois.Food: 5/5

I've been going to Holzman's for years. I live in Milford not far from Montgomery Road. We are blessed in Milford with Miami Market and Lear's Meats. Both of these are family owned delis just like Holzman's Fine Meats and Deli is. I had the opportunity and some extra time on my hands today so I stopped at Holzman's for a very late lunch and to pick up meatloaf and twice baked potatoes for dinner. (Yes I will pass this off as my own cooking tonight) ?I ordered my dinner for tonight and a little side of chicken salad to eat in my car. He gave me a a half pound side dish of chicken salad and pasta salad on the house because he heard another woman and I talking about how I was hungry and not eaten all day.I am sitting in my car eating this tasty little dish with a big smile on my face, tickled to still see customer service this good. Thank you Holzman's Deli for making me smile today and I wish you many more years of prosperity and great customer service.
