Bidra med feedbackReserved a few weeks before the marathon. When I came here, they didn't have the reservation and upset. Bad service. Food o.k. Very pasty sauce. Surprise is best seen in the city.
I've been a Campanello customer for three years. I meet my girlfriend and others about 1 to 4 times a month for lunch there. That's a lot of lasagna. The waiting staff is always very nice and other than a few reheats the food was good. It is really amazing how an interaction can take you from four stars to one. Last week, my friend and I decided to make a work lunch and do some design work. When I entered the restaurant, I realized that my laptop was electricity and asked the waiter if I could plug in. He said it was good. We were settled and when we waited for our drinks, I heard the cook/owner asking the waiter to put in via my computer. The waiter said he gave me the okay. I didn't really think much about it being 2008. From Mom-and-Pop coffee shops to chain restaurants, laptops are more than welcome, as the cost of plugging a laptop for 20 minutes costs a maximum of fifty cents. This does not seem like a great cost for the amount of business I offer Campanello. We started to do our work after ordering and receiving our salads. The owner handed over our table to deliver another table dinner and on the way back to the kitchen, he held in front of our table and sarcastically asked: "You don't mind if I come to your house and put in my toy, do." We were upset to say the least. I dumped the laptop when he watched me without another word until I took him away, and then he went to the kitchen. Of course, my lunch was over when I sat next to me in unbelief. The waiter apologized for the inhospitableness of the owner. I was thinking about confronting him, but I realized that this is not a personality you're using. We paid for tipping. There are many places in downtown to go for a work meal, I guess Campanello is not one of them. I doubt we're back for a while.
Campanello is really a bubble. It seems that it is a place that is impermeable to changing times. Once inside, you can count on friendly service of the colorful occupation of workers and portions so large You cannot finish your meal. Not to mention, the food is fantastic. The small, dark illuminated dining area is ideal for a romantic date or a family dinner. The best thing is that the prices for service, portions and quality are completely reasonable. Do not miss, you will not find another place like Campanello if you travel 100 miles in any direction.
