Bidra med feedbackFirst time trying Kanama Kopi Kadai, and I will definitely come back! We ordered the Roti, Karaage Chicken, and Beef Satay to start. Roti (1 pc) was fresh and house made. Karaage chicken (5 pc) was tasty, spicy, and crispy/crunchy, and the beef satay (5 pc) was soft and tasty with the satay sauce. We asked for the entrees to come out before the mains, and each of the entrees came out at a different time but not a long delay between. For mains, I ordered the Nasi Lemak with Beef Rendang. Beef rendang was tender spicy and very flavourful. There was a spicy prawn side which was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavour. More sides included cashews, fried anchovies, cucumber, and boiled egg. Everything included in the Nasi Lemak tasted amazing together! The spice level was not overly spicy but definitely present. Im sure this isn't as spicy as what may be traditional in South East Asia but I think most Kiwis will enjoy anyway. I recommend having a little bit of roti with the nasi lemak, a great combo! I was able to walk in on a Friday night with ne booking. Kitchen looked busy with dine in orders along with takeaway orders but our meals still came out at a respectable time. Will be back
First time here at Kanama kopi Kedai after reading all the good reviews. Although our main took a bit longer to arrive but overall my husband I really enjoyed our food. Definitely will be back again bringing our 2 children.
I recently visited a small Family-run restaurant, and I have to say, it felt more like being welcomed into someone's home than just a place to eat. The owners were incredibly friendly and approachable, which immediately made me feel at ease. I just went for their WOAP OoLaLa! Burger I must say it is definitely top-5. The tapioca Sago Patty and baby corn chips were perfectly pairing, more interesting they were only Vegetarian burger in WOAP Finalist. I had to be a bit patient with Teh Tarik order. However, I didn't mind at all and I would highly recommend visiting this place if you're looking for a cozy and delicious home dining experience.
We love this place and often have 8 to 10 people in our group. A great selection of delicious dishes to choose from, reasonably priced and good quantities. Catering so well for those with dietary requirements. Often coming up with new dishes and special menus like their current beautiful Christmas menu which we all thoroughly enjoyed last night. Great wine choices also
We ordered the prawn sambal, mee goreng and char gui teow with iced Malaysian coffee. All were scrumptious and well done. The spice level was just enough to give a good kick.
