I believe they need to work on improving the personal service and engaging in better conversations. The service was quite slow, with many tables being left with dirty dishes and glasses for too long while staff members stood around. Our drinks only arrived after we had finished our meal, and it seemed like the staff could have paid more attention to our table. Additionally, I believe that the kitchen staff should wear masks, as we observed a cook handling food after blowing his nose without washing his hands. The salad bar had a low standard, as our salad was prepared by a young girl who touched it with her fingers, and the salad appeared brown and wilted. The restaurant had a damp smell and was in need of a renovation, with the furniture outside being dirty and uninviting. We have enjoyed dining at many restaurants in the past, but I must say that this was the worst experience we have had.
Our two high school seniors adore the Cat and Fiddle. It has been a tradition for over 10 years that on the last day of every vacation, we take them there. They have no interest in going anywhere else; they love it as much as the rest of our family.
